*These include the Lucky and Infernal versions of the instanceĬ drops randomly from mobs in the following regions A regional message will be made if you successfully enchanted a Breakthrough equipment to +20ī drops from bosses in the following instances at a low rate Every subsequent enchant level after +20 increases the number of wrapping available by 1 A new random skill (weapons get Active skills while armours get Passive skills) A new weapon glow (applies only to weapons and shields) Speaking of +20s, technically, like Plumes, there is no limit imposed on how high the enchantment can go (if you’re lucky enough to go all the way to +100, it’s possible). This is the reason why it’s rare for people to successfully +20 an equipment, and so far they’re only done on weapons. In order to re-enchant it, you’ll have to the regain Breakthrough status. Upon failure during the enchanting process, the equipment will lose it’s Breakthrough status. Similar to Plume enchanting, you are unable to utilize supplements for Breakthrough enchanting. Unlike normal enchanting (where there’s a chance to gain more than one level of enchantment), success is capped at one per level. They have a low drop rate (I’ll specify their locations later) and unlike Tempering Solutions, they cannot be bought from the cash shop. However, before everyone runs off to enchant a Breakthrough equip, do take note of the following: You’ll know your equipment has achieved Breakthrough status based on the green icon listed on it (refer to third screenshot).Ĭ - Equipment that have achieved Breakthrough status can only rely on these special enchantment stones for enchanting. The Breakthrough process is (thankfully) a 100% success guaranteed process. While both the DR Cane and Staff qualifies as a Staff weapon category, they’re not the same item per se. If your equipment is evolved or crafted, you’ll probably not have multiple copies of the same item lying around. The aforementioned method is of course, not practical depending on what equipment you have. I have a DR Staff, and rather than using A + B to utilize Breakthrough on it, I can use A + another DR Staff *. You may also opt to use the similar equipment to engage the Breakthrough process, I’ll elaborate this with a simple example: They are used the same way as D/E and Combination tools (click the item to select).ī - You’ll need both A and B to Breakthrough your equipment, however, there are exceptions. There will be 3 main tools utilized for the Breakthrough process, for simplicity’s sake, I’ll call them A, B and C (refer to second screenshot).Ī - This is the tool needed to start the Breakthrough process, they are available from the General Merchant NPC. There are some equipment that do not have a maximum enchantment of 15, but as long the icon is present, it means they will be eligible for Breakthrough (bringing them beyond whatever their initial maximum enchantment it may be eg. Not every item is eligible for breakthrough however, you can check the eligibility of the equipment by looking for an icon (shown in the first screenshot). The Breakthrough System is a new feature that allows you to exceed +15 enchantment on your equipment. Just a basic introductory guide to this new system, since NA is getting this patch next week.
